A team built on previous success

Our story starts in 2011 when a small team of entrepreneurs started what was to become, the fastest growing LED retailer in the world. Fast forward four years and the company was sold to investors. It was a fun and interesting four years. One thing that we learned was that there was a huge gap in the market for an LED lighting supplier to really help professional’s choose the right products for their customers and provide help and advice on specific projects.

The trouble with the online lighting industry

After asking hundreds of lighting professionals it seems our thoughts were correct. Here is what they said;

Online retailers are great because they are more convenient. Their prices are more competitive and they have a greater range of products. BUT, they lacked the more personal advice and guidance that the wholesalers provide.
Wholesalers are great because they provide product related advice and guidance BUT their prices are not as competitive and their ranges are limited to what was in stock at the time.
Many online resellers stock own brand product ranges where product quality can be unsatisfactory leading to product failures and unhappy customers. We choose only top brand products where quality is assurred and use our buying power to ensure LUX365 customers get the lowest price.
