Specialist Aviation Manufacturing, with roots going back to 1955 as Bowman & Sanderson, machines complex precision-engineered components, from prototype to production. Using an industry-leading range of CNC & manual machines, including Delcam Power-MILL and Power-SHAPE, the company works in a wide variety of materials, including steel, aluminium, titanium, stainless steels and plastics.
Whilst the heritage of Specialist Aviation Manufacturing is in aviation and aerospace, the company also supports medical equipment and performance car manufacturers.

Specialist Aviation Manufacturing recently merged with Hermitage Sheet Metal. The two firms are similar in size and culture with practice strengths that are highly complementary. However, each company has distinct customer bases, products and accreditions that benefit from this merger. The merger gives both companies the capacity to serve customers in more ways than ever before. Together, the companies provide an industry-leading manufacturing practice through innovative initiatives intended to increase quality and performance for all customers.

The Managing Director of Specialist Aviation Manufacturing and Hermitage Sheet Metal is Dave Spencer. The CEO of both companies is Duncan Hammond.
