General information

The Abraham Moon story began in 1837, the same year Queen Victoria succeeded to the British throne.

Over 180 years later, our mill still holds an enviable status as one of the country's leading woollen fabric manufacturers. We pride ourselves on a unique blend of modern design and traditional craft - keeping one eye on our fine heritage and the other on contemporary trends.

We are one of the few fully vertical mills left in Britain today, meaning we complete all manufacturing processes from the delivery of the raw wool through dyeing, blending, carding, spinning, warping, weaving and finishing all at one site.

With our roots in the fashion industry we're also now well known for our fine furnishing fabrics, which can be found everywhere from traditional British retailers to 10 Downing Street.

Visit our store at The Courtyard and see our exclusive collection of tweed menswear, ladieswear and home furnishings - all woven in Yorkshire. We also have the Mill Shop on site at our factory in Guiseley, at which you'll find a broad range of seconds; high quality products which went un-selected in our main range.
