General information
Dirty Velvet was first conceived by two friends who found the available t-shirt graphics of the time very uninspiring. From this grew a desire to use t-shirts as a canvas for expressing social ideas through strong graphics and interesting imagery.
From those beginnings Dirty Velvet has become a strong design collective, focused on producing bespoke t-shirts with interesting and socially relevant content. Our main aim is to create original designs through the use of thought provoking imagery, to reflect our slightly twisted perspective on the world. We draw influence and satirise many subjects including politics, war, money, gender, power, advertising, religion & football, to name but a few. Our designs work clever ideas into aesthetically pleasing graphics.
