General information
The history of GKN Wheels spans more than 100 years. The company can trace its origins back to 1854 when a three man partnership between Joseph Sankey, Charles Hartill and Samuel Jackson laid the foundations for the industrial organisation Joseph Sankey & Sons Ltd. This eventually came to be known as GKN Sankey Ltd, operating as part of the world famous Guest, Keen and Nettlefolds group of companies.
GKN Wheels works in partnership with global and regional customers to better understand their key strategic aims, reduce costs and further develop product ranges.
We have two state-of-the-art Technical Centres. These are responsible for testing customised and modified wheel designs for manufacturers of off-highway plant and machinery used in the construction, agricultural, mining and material handling sectors.
GKN Wheels Technical Centres are located in Woodridge, Illinois, USA and Carpenedolo, Italy.
