Lakeland Childrens Books are family-run wholesalers, specialising in the distribution of children’s books across the North of England and Southern Scotland. We have continuously grown since being established in 1996, bringing high quality products across the region. Based in Millom, Cumbria, we distribute from Lancashire in the south to Dumfries & Galloway in the north and coast to coast from Blackpool to Tyneside and Teesside.

We have brought and continue to bring a guaranteed profit to hundreds of local businesses within our catchment and have brought the joys and benefits of reading to countless children.

What We Do

Lakeland Childrens Books corresponds with the nation’s leading publishers of children’s literature. We bring the latest and greatest titles from independent and recognised children’s publishers to our customers. Titles are carefully selected both in terms of quality and the range of types sold. Publishers such as Brown Watson, Hinkler, Priddy, Miles Kelly, Usborne and Brimax regularly communicate with us to ensure that our stock is balanced both with recognisable brands, classic educational resources and puzzles.

Our board books and activity packs will appeal to the youngest of readers, whilst the non-fictional resource books are suitable for those reaching their final years in primary school.
